GROWING UP

成长

Vincent van Gogh was born on March 30,1853,in this house in

Groot-Zundert,a small village in the south of the Netherlands.Hisfather was a clergyman and his family were respectable,middle-class people.As he grew up,Vincent loved books and drawing buthad no thought of being an artist until much later in life.

1853年3月30日，文森特·梵高出生于荷兰南部一个名为津德尔特的小村庄（上图就是他出生的房子）。他的父亲是一位牧师，梵高一家家境优渥，受人尊敬。小时候的梵高喜爱读书，也喜欢画画，但是那时的他从没想过要以绘画为生，这个想法直到很久以后才在他心中萌生。

Cent helped him to get a job in the Dutchcapital,The Hague.He became a juniorclerk for Goupil and Co.,an important firm ofart dealers.
