All else was empty, silent, endless and dark. Then also from Chaos,Eros(Love),Gaea (Earth)and Tartarus (the deepest region in the Underworld)came into being. It was Eros that made it possible to produce offspring
Then Erebus slept with his sister Nyx,who gave birth to Ether(heavenly light)and Day (earthly light). Then Nyx alone produced Doom,
Fate,Death,Sleep,Nemesis and others.

Rule of the Titans and Rise of the
ol小ympians
Cronus succeeded his father as the ruler of the universe, and becamethe leader of the Titans. He shared the world with his brothers and sisters, and married his sister Rhea.Under his rule the Titans had many offspring.
He ruled for many ages.
The whole purpose that Gaea instructed Cronus and the Titans torevolt against Uranus'rule was to release her other sons from Tartarus.
Cronus, however, did not release his brothers, the Hecatoncheires and the
Cyclopes, from Tartarus. This made Gaea very angry with her son.Gaea,as Uranus had done, prophesied that Cronus would in turn be overthrownby his own son.
To avoid this fate,Cronus swallowed each of his children as they wereborn.Rhea was angry at the treatment of her children and plotted against
Cronus. When it came time to give birth to her sixth child,Rhea hidherself, and then she left the child to be raised by nymphs. To conceal heract, she wrapped a stone in swaddling cloth and passed it off as the baby to
Cronus,who swallowed it.
This child was Zeus, and he grew into a handsome youth on Crete.
Zeus consulted Metis, the Titan goddess of prudence, good counsel, wisdom and craftiness,on how to defeat Cronus. She prepared a potion for
Cronus, designed to make him vomit up the other children.
Sources
Rhea convinced Cronus to accept his son,and Zeus was allowedto return to Mount Olympus as Cronus'cupbearer. This gave Zeus theopportunity to slip Cronus the specially prepared drink. This worked as
European-
planned and the other five children were vomited up.Being gods they wereunharmed. They were thankful to Zeus and made him their leader.
War broke out between the Titans against the younger gods known asthe Olympians, led by Zeus.Cronus and other Titans fought to retain theirpower.Atlas became their leader in battle and it seemed that for some timethey would win and put the young gods down.
Zeus and his brothers required aids, since they were outnumbered.Ofall the sons of Uranus and Gaea,Oceanus had chosen to remain neutral.
Styx, the eldest daughter of Oceanus and Tethys, was the first to change side.
